New Years Resolutions 2009

January 6th, 2009 at 2:53 am |

This year around there’s no birthday or anniversary celebration. Despite of the probably insignificance or futility, I’ve got to make some resolutions for 2009. Here’s the mandate:

  1. Become more organized - God, i hate structure in life. But i need some. Just getting things done is not enough anymore. They’ve got to be done in timely fassion. If I can do this, i think i might really see my productivity soar.
  2. Keep my room clean - this includes not waiting weeks to do laundry. I tried the whole cleanroom thing because of broken windows theory, but it doesn’t really work past the first couple of days. There used to be a time, though, when my room had to be clean or my buttcheek would be red in the evening. My buttcheeks have nothing to fear anymore, but the idea is to get back into good habits.
  3. Learn to ask for favors - Maybe the reason why nobody does anything for you is because you don’t ask. Doing everything yourself is the way of the past. If you want to grow and succeed the way you’ve dreamt, gotta acknowledge that you can’t do this on your own. You don’t stand a chance against this world.
  4. Practice humility - This is the year that I make my move, and as I accel ahead of others, i warn myself deeply to remember what it’s like down below. Hope for the best, expect the worst. And when you think you’ve seen the worst in people, remember that you’ve been even lower.
  5. Do - it’s time. See those doors? Walk through them. All hundred million.
